10 years of the first in the world browser-based multiplayer online game Tale
Exactly 10 years ago, in November 1999, the first version of the game Tale was presented to the audience. At that time it was introduced as "MUD in browser" (abbreviation BBMMORPG appeared later). But it did not work on telnet connection, like all MUDs, it run in an ordinary browser (for example in Microsoft Internet Explorer - MSIE) and was a fully multiplayer online browser-based game. The project has existed in its original form up to 2001. Later, after fundamental upgrade in 2003, the game was opened at a new Internet address.
